Please be aware of the following message received from the Council:
"The internet performance issues are still continuing, the SWGfL have identified the cause of the problems as an external DoS (Denial of Service) attack. The cause was an enormous Denial of Service (DoS) attack originating from overseas; over 40,000 new connections were attempted to the core firewalls, and this essentially caused them to max out..
They are carrying out work to mitigate the risk of further interruptions however we are experiencing difficulties again today. They are stating that “the security and integrity of the network has remained unaffected throughout”."
