Friends of BSCS - Primary
All About Friends
Friends at BSCS Primary is a team of parents, carers and extended family who are working as a Parent, Teacher and Friends association for the Primary Phase of Bradley Stoke Community School.
As our Primary School grows, so does our Friends committee and our potential to raise much needed funds for our children’s enrichment. The Chair of Primary Friends is Kate Drury Smith and the Vice Chair and Secretary is Joanna Rowlands. There is an amazing team of parents who form the core committee of Friends, organising and fundraising for events plus wonderful happy helpers who volunteer to supervise events, man stalls, sell uniform, bake, face paint and much more - giving their time and enthusiasm when they are able and this is invaluable to Friends.
Our first year as Primary Friends sees us raising funds towards an outdoor quiet area for our children having previously contributed towards a pizza oven and rabbit run. We have multiple events timetabled throughout the academic year including quiz nights, a Christmas Disco, the Christmas Fair with Santa’s Grotto, slumber parties and the grand finale – our summer fair. We will also be running fortnightly tuck shops with the introduction of the bakery tuck for the children to purchase and enjoy a treat after school.
Primary Friends are grateful for any and all uniform that is no longer needed, we sell these at a very reasonable price as often as we can manage.
We welcome and invite any and all parent involvement in Primary Friends – if you would like to volunteer or be involved in any way, whether it be easy fundraising, match funding, happy helpers or ideas of events that have been successful at other schools, we would really appreciate your input.
Our email address is: email@example.com, you can join us on Facebook or chat to us in the playground or at Friends meetings - please do get in touch, we need you all! ??
FAB Primary (Friends@BSCS) are holding their first meeting of the year on:
Tuesday 3rd March 6.20pm at Soho Coffee in the Leisure Centre.
The focus will be the Summer Fair planning but there will also be some discussion on potential upcoming events. Anyone is welcome to join the meeting – it’s a great opportunity to see what you might be able to offer in regard to ideas and practical help.
