To provide our students with a well-rounded and stimulating learning experience throughout their time with us, there are a range of enrichment activities on offer for students before and after school. In addition there are many educational visits and events as well as opportunities to participate in sports teams, music lessons and concerts.
Extra-curricular activities enhance the learning experiences of our students.
We also have “Enrichment Days”, which involves the normal school timetable stopping approximately every other term to enable extended curriculum activities and visits to take place for all students without disrupting the learning of others.
We have established partnerships with a range of organisations who are able to use the school’s extensive facilities and who offer a wide-ranging programme of enrichment for students at Bradley Stoke Community School and the local community.
What do I need to know?
I am writing to let you know that our compulsory Enrichment activities start again in Term 6 2021 for Year 7 and 8 students. Students will be able to choose from the list of activities attached and are expected to sign up to one compulsory activity each week for all of Term 6. They are more than welcome to participate in multiple activities across the week, but they will only be registered for the activity they have formally chosen.
We are hoping that in September we will continue to offer Enrichment activities as normal, where students won’t have to be in their Year group bubbles, but we will keep you posted. If any parents would like to offer an Enrichment club, or support any of the clubs attached, please do contact me. We are also looking for any parents who would be able to deliver a 6-week First Aid course and a Sign Language Introduction course to Year 7, 8 and 9 students as part of the Enrichment programme next year. If you are able to offer or deliver these sessions, please get in touch for an informal discussion.
