Bradley Stoke Community School

Gold Health in Schools Award

We are delighted and proud to share that we have recently been awarded the Gold Health in Schools Award for our work in tackling mental health in school. Our feedback from South Gloucestershire Council about our award is below and we are particulary proud that so much of the work recognised is from our students. If you haven’t seen their short film on Mental Health, which formed part of our award, it is really worth a watch and is also available on the website. Getting the Gold Award is a fabulous achievement for the school; we are the first school locally to gain it and one of only a few nationally who have gained this accolade. This doesn’t mean that our work on promoting positive mental health and reducing the stigma about talking  it stops here! We have lots of plans for this year and our Post 16 Mental Health Ambassadors will be leading the way. We look forward to keeping you up todate as we progress.
