Notice of proposed changes to the Olympus Admissions Policy 2021/22
The Olympus Academy Trust is consulting on the proposed admission arrangements for the
academic year 2021/22. The consultation will be open from 9th December 2019 to 20th January 2020.
The full draft policies can be read at https://www.olympusacademiestrust.org.uk/. Paper copies are
also available on request. The main changes are as follows:
- The single Olympus Admissions Policy has been separated into 9 policies,
one for each school within the Trust
- Amended wording will allow a breach of PAN for children of multiple births,
regardless of how the first child is allocated their place, not merely if the last
place allocated is one of a multiple birth
- A formal process to verify application addresses has been added
- The child’s home address will now be taken as the address where they live
most of the time during term time, rather than over the whole year
- A formal Education Out Of Year request form has been included
- Where there is no defined Area of Prime Responsibility the local sibling
qualification distance will be extended from 2 miles to 3 miles
Feedback, comments, queries and requests for copies of the policy should be addressed to:
