Notice of proposed changes to the Olympus Admissions Policy 2021/22

The Olympus Academy Trust is consulting on the proposed admission arrangements for the

academic year 2021/22. The consultation will be open from 9th December 2019 to 20th January 2020.

The full draft policies can be read at https://www.olympusacademiestrust.org.uk/. Paper copies are

also available on request. The main changes are as follows:

  1. The single Olympus Admissions Policy has been separated into 9 policies,

one for each school within the Trust

  1. Amended wording will allow a breach of PAN for children of multiple births,

regardless of how the first child is allocated their place, not merely if the last

place allocated is one of a multiple birth

  1. A formal process to verify application addresses has been added
  2. The child’s home address will now be taken as the address where they live

most of the time during term time, rather than over the whole year

  1. A formal Education Out Of Year request form has been included
  2. Where there is no defined Area of Prime Responsibility the local sibling

qualification distance will be extended from 2 miles to 3 miles

Feedback, comments, queries and requests for copies of the policy should be addressed to:
