P16 students work experience at the Wild Goose Cafe
Centre Ministries is an award-winning Christian charity that has been working in Bristol for over 30 years. They are dedicated to helping those with life disrupting problems, such as homelessness and addiction, to enjoy a healthy independent life. As part of the work they do, they run the Wild Goose Café which provides food for around 150 homeless or vulnerable people for free, six days each week.
We were delighted that they were able to host 5 of our Post 16 students for their Work Experience placements.
The students said they thoroughly enjoyed the experience and it has been a real "eye opener". They said they had been surrounded by grateful people all week.
Lucie Hulin (P16 student) said "the gift of helping others is an amazing thing to do, so we would urge everyone to help homeless people in any way they can"
