Post-16 Fundraising

A group of Post-16 students have been keen to raise money for local charities. After a visit to the homeless charity, Emmaus, and a meeting with a volunteer from the Crisis Centre – Wild Goose Café – they have decided to raise money for these charities. The students have shown real compassion and maturity during their meetings with these charities and have now come up with a plan for fundraising events to run over the next two terms. Their ideas range from talent shows and cake sales to sleep-outs. They kicked off their efforts this Thursday with a cake sale in the main school. After a session of baking in the PD rooms, the students made just over £50 during one break-time. An impressive start! Watch this space for news of their next events.
