Presentation of cheque to Kevin Mashford from Transplant Sport

Pic shows students from Year 9 with Head Teacher, Ms Sutton Kirby, Mr Kevin Mashford and  teachers Mr Anthony and Mr Sharp who are cycling a 24 hour 230 mile marathon for Transplant Sport in May 2014.

Mr Mashford, himself a heart transplant recipient, gave a fantastic insight into the world of transplants and transplant sport to Year 9 students.  Mrs Port, Miss Dursley, Head of Wheatfield Primary School and two student repesentatives, the primary Sarah Port attended and who had been involved in the fundraising also attended.

Students presented the cheque in the sum of £1,470.28 to Transplant Sport.  This money was raised from non uniform days, the sale of Sarah bands and other events.
