Bradley Stoke Community School has been selected as one of the first venues in the UK to host the award-winning Operating Theatre Live National Tour.
Operating Theatre Live Tour are the UK’s only touring surgical experience offering academically rigorous educational experience matched to English, Scottish, Welsh and Irish exam specifications. Their events secure and challenge students to explore careers in medicine and healthcare in a mission to raise engagement in STEM subjects.

This incredible, immersive operating theatre experience will give your child the opportunity to dissect real specimens led by human anatomist Samuel Piri and his team of clinicians. Sponsored by the Royal Society of Medicine, Operating Theatre Live are the UK’s only approved license holders to use all class animal by-products for educational purposes and they are bringing their tour to us here at Bradley Stoke Community School on 12th April from 9am to 3pm for the main event with an optional workshop for an insight into Emergency Medicine from 4pm to 6pm. Main Event Ticket £69.00 (9.00am – 3.00pm)

Trauma Ticket £139.00 (9.00am – 6.00pm)
Includes scrub hire, stethoscope hire, full PPE, 8 workshops, lunch and hot evening meal
During this unique opportunity, your child will be taking on the role of a trauma doctor bringing the systems of the human body alive through dissections.

** Eligible for a free place?
We allocate 5 main event tickets per event for students that are underrepresented in medicine. Students from backgrounds who are statistically less likely to apply and secure places can apply for a free place.
To apply for a free place you must:
- Have a school/college attendance of 98% or better
- Both parents must not have attended university
- Be studying triple science, national5 Biology/Chemistry, Higher/Advanced Higher Biology/Chemistry, A Level Chemistry/Biology
- Have, or be targeted to achieve high grades
- Complete a reference form that you can download here.
