Y8 Oscars

Y8 students were dressed to impress for a night at the Oscars! In an earlier session 16 day at BSCS, The Y8 drama groups were set the task to produce a movie trailer with the only information given being the title "The last day." The students all worked hard to produce over 20 trailers in their groups of 4 or 5 all ranging in genre from comedy to horror! The very best of these trailers were nominated for one of the 12 award categories to be presented in true style at a very exclusive event called the Y8 Oscars!

The show kicked off with a paparazzi session in front of the Oscars wall where the students could show off their outfits. The show was presented by Y8 students Dheeya Raghavjee and Jess Hill who had many a one liner to keep the crowd laughing. The winning trailers were shown on the big screen and the coveted Oscar award trophies presented to the winning studios and individuals! With students such as Toby Cox and Ella Cotterell scooping best Actor and Actress along side Joe Dollin who took home the Best Director award.

Congratulations to the winners and everyone involved - a night to remember!
