Bradley Stoke Community School

Welcome from the Head of the Primary Phase

I am incredibly honoured to be the Head of Primary at BSCS. We are a friendly, community-centred one-form-entry phase where every child is known by name, valued and encouraged to be the best they can be.

The Primary phase prides itself on its Curious Curriculum and innovative approach to enabling our young people to develop into independent learners who strive to be the best they can be.

Our school day is carefully structured to provide opportunities for children to be able to articulate their thinking, collaborate with others and make connections in their learning. We have built on our high quality EYFS continuous provision and taken that into KS1 to enable smooth transitions and increase the opportunities for our children to develop their oracy and independent learning skills.

We have high expectations of all pupils and the skills of editing, publishing and presenting are explicitly taught; creativity and imagination are valued and celebrated here and the standard of work produced in pupils' Curious Curriculum books is exceptional.  Our dedicated staff team have created purposeful and inspiring learning environments and visits are always welcome.
