Taylor Shaw do not knowingly use nuts or any product containing nuts as an ingredient in our primary & Secondary school meals. There are instances where an ingredient that has advisory ‘may contain’ traces of nut labelling is used, these are indicated by as ‘may contain’ on our allergen reports held at each site. Taylor Shaw cannot be responsible for, nor able to manage, any food stuffs brought in by children from home, the allergen content of those items and their potential risk. Nut-containing foods may be brought in and consumed on site. Therefore, we cannot declare that our Schools are nut free environments.

Taylor Shaw staff are trained to follow best practice procedures in our kitchen and all reasonable measures are taken to manage the risk around allergens and cross contamination.  However, due to the presence of ingredients that contain allergens that are routinely used in our kitchens, and that normal operations may involve shared cooking and preparation areas, we can never guarantee that a dish is completely free from any allergens.
